Salt to the Sea
I LOVED this book! Salt to the Sea is brilliant, intertwining the journeys of different people into one and recreating a real marine disaster that took place during the war.
Each chapter is short, normally only a couple of pages long and each one is narrated by a different person from the story. At first I thought that it might be confusing having so many different people each telling their part but you could tell them apart straight away and it was not hard to read or understand at all.
Salt to the Sea is very sad at parts and as the book is based of a real life event it can make you feel sorry for the characters a lot more than if it was completely made up. (In the end though this only adds even more to the story to make it even more amazing)
This is a brilliant book and I would probably recommend it to anyone who likes to read books like it!
