Sirin, Plashet School
This book caught me into it immediately. The story line was moving and the author did not disappoint in creating emotive and believable characters - especially Annabelle who was a great protagonist. I loved the element of Annabelle's unique family, it really added to the story line. This book portrayed quite clearly how war can affect people - Toby was a great example for this. Though I do think the author could have included more about Betty's past to make it more clear to why she was the person she was, this book was overall very enjoyable and flowed very nicely. Highly recommended.
