Emily, Impington Village College

The Stars at Oktober Bend

This story was about a girl called Alice overcoming problems in her past; I enjoyed this book because it was written in the way she spoke and thought which makes the book stand out from other books, although it could be a bit jumbled at times. I liked the feeling of following her on her journey and I felt I wanted to know more about her at the end and what happened afterwards to her. I did find it a bit confusing at times and I had to start it twice because I found the style of writing difficult to get on with at first; overall I give this book an 8 out of 10.
