Sameera, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls
Railhead is the story of a young thief with an interest in trains; known as Zen Starling. He is a nobody to most who steals to support his hardworking sister and paranoid mother. He steals a necklace and after, this stolen item triggers a series of events that makes him famous, but for all the wrong reasons. Zen is made an offer that he can't refuse, even though it might not be the best of choices and could forever stain his name. Set in a magical, out of this world place, Railhead will take you on a journey like no other and make you follow his adventure. Along with friendship, hidden truth and things that aren't what they first seem, even applying to himself and the people closest to him. The most valuable lesson I think Zen learns is how friendship is crucially important and the extent to which he would go to preserve it, even though he might not realise it immediately. In the end, he cherishes this key aspect of a friend 'But at least he didn't have to go alone'. This intriguing book is a fascinating book, enriched with plot twists and cliff-hangers. Truly a must read for people who enjoy mysteries. Railhead is one of those types of books that you just can't put down and after reading this, I will be looking forward to the next book in the series, with extremely high standards 'Black Light Express'
