Saint Death

Arturo lives in Anapra, Mexico, his home is a shack made from crates, sheets of iron and old cardboard. He earns enough money at work, to get by but at night he goes to gamble where he makes far more money. His life goes on steadily until the night when his friend Faustino, who had been missing for a year, re-appears and Arturo's life turns upside down. Faustino has come asking for the impossible and suddenly Arturo's gambling has far more importance then you can ever imagine. Can Arturo gamble his way to victory with the help of Saint Death, or will he fail his friend?

This book has everything. It will teach you about the world, about the circumstances in places like Anapra, about the hardships that people really face. This fast paced thriller is a beautifully written masterpiece by Marcus Sedgwick that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Upon reading this book you will be thrown head first into the world of Arturo, you will hold your breath at every twist and I assure you, you will love every second of it.
