Tom, King James's Royal Readers
This book has a theme of "adventureness" running all the way through it and has many dramatic and unexpected events. My favourite character is Raven because his personality changed all of the way through it, at first I didn't trust him but towards the end I started to feel more sorry for him rather than anger or frustation against him.
Overall I liked the book, however I feel that in the scenes where a fight or dramatic chase was occurring, some more description of the setting would have been better. I liked the trains because it shows a sense of freedom for everyone in the book. For inanimate characters the trains have great personalities.
