Nathan, Sir Harry Smith Community College

Saint Death

I loved this book. I just found that the mix between death, drugs, gangs etc. and Arturo's feelings and religion is a great contrast. I really liked the fact that it is showing what life is like in this area of Mexico, and how it is based in this common day. I also liked it when Arturo was completely changed by Santa Muerta and it resulted in his refusing to join the 'gang', even though it ended up badly. I think this book really showed what some people have to do to survive, and I really liked that.
