There is a Tribe of Kids

There is a tribe of kids is the Kate Greenaway medal winner illustrated by Lane Smith. It is about a child trying to find a place where he fits in. He encounters many animals and in the end finds a tribe of children who take him in.
I enjoyed how there are clues to what animal will be on the next page so it was not random if you look closely. The artist’s style is simplistic but fits with the story creating good synergy. The downside of a simplistic art form it that the images lack detail which I believe makes the illustration stand out, other than this I thoroughly enjoyed reading there is a tribe of kids.
I would recommend this book for people aged 3-6 as the language is simple and easy to understand. I do not think this book would appeal to anybody over 6 years old. I rate this book 7/10.
