Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Jim Kay has undertaken a huge challenge by illustrating Harry Potter because everyone knows Snape as Alan Rickman and Emma Watson as Hermione ect so try to make them look similar is very difficult. Saying this he has done it with complete style as you know exactly who is who with half an eye open. One thing i love about this book is the fact there a lot of subtle things in the portraits especially Dumbledore as there is the pot which the phoenix comes out of and the tree it sits on next to the pot. But my personal favorite is the lemon sherbets he eats an belive it or not i'm pretty sure lemon sherbets is the password to his office. also there is one of Draco Malfoy running through the forest and another of Hermione practicing magic outside the school building. With all these details it give the great book a new dimension making it in my opinion more fun to read even though it was already very fun to read. This book is for eight and up and i give it a 9 1/2 out of 10.
