The Stars at Oktober Bend

The stars at oktober bend was an emotional, but a very long and slow, book. The story followed a fifteen year old girl named Alice who was beautiful and had long, red hair like fire, but she was broken. In the novel she meets a boy named Manny who is also broken. They meet each other through Alice's poems, which are extremely powerful. Both characters are completely believable, due to the fact that you see them recovering from the past. I understand that the sentences are written like Alice spoke, but I still found it quite challenging to read because of the odd sentences. Overall, this wasn't one of my top favourite books, but other people may like this sort of book.
