The Bone Sparrow
This is such a poignant tale. It concerns very current issues and expresses views on refugees that you never hear on television or in the news. I think that it is a great read and I would definitely recommend it. The power of friendship is really explored in this book because this book is based on friendship. I think the way that an outsider and a refugee make friends shows how anyone can be friendly to anybody. However this really can't be the case in politics! I think that without this book I wouldn't really know much about the views of a refugee child and how they perseve the world and how they are treated. This book made me realise how life would be like as a refugee even though I am not one.
