Salt to the Sea
Ruta Sepetys has written a moving novel about a world disaster of which I have never heard of before. She captures the people involved by rotating the narrators, we can experience through this how many feel about one situation.
This book really shows how the Second World War affected more citizens than any war before, we see one of the most hidden disasters ever in a new light.
This book is highly educational and moving as a well written powerful book. The grace with which the story is told brings to light the most simple feelings worries and is a perfect tribute to those who died in the disaster and it is about time the world should know about this tragedy half a century after it took place.
