Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
This book is a book with adventure and sci-fi. It begins with a boy (Prez) talking about his temporary home. Eventually he begins to recount how a young boy named Sputnik arrived at the door(The alien from outer space). He was seen as a dog by everyone else but Prez, who saw him as a boy. He has many thrilling adventures involving lightsabers, floating sheds and grenades which are all to find 10 things worth doing on earth. If Prez and Sputnik cannot find reasons why Earth is worth keeping by the end of the summer, there will be people coming to shrink the earth and its sun. I would think this was a book targeted at children from 8-11 years old as the vocabulary is easily understandable and the plot is not too difficult to comprehend.
