Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

"Sputnik's guide to life on Earth" is about an orphan named Prez who is sent away for the summer to live with the Blythes. The Blythes are a Rowdy family that live on a farm. One day Prez opens the door for Sputnik. He sees a boy but everyone else sees a dog. His life is instantly changed forever.

I don't think this book is quite meant for children over the age of 12 as the humour is a bit childish. I personally didn't enjoy the book. It is a very fast book to read as I finished it in a matter of hours which again shows it is more childish. My recommended age group would be between 8-12.

One of the few parts I enjoyed was when Prez gave Annabel a lightsaber for her birthday but it was broken. Sputnik then decided that it was best if he fixed it. He then turned the fake lightsaber into a real one. He gave it to Annabel and she ran around causing mayhem with it.
