Salt to the Sea

Salt to the Sea is a novel with a gripping plot and well-developed characters, by telling the story through the viewpoint of multiple characters, it shows multiple experiences of war and how it affects them.

With an original plot and interesting themes, this story is imaginative and unique; showing the horrors of war from vastly different points of view shows that everybody was affected, both physically and emotionally, in different ways, but that everybody is able to unite under one shared cause.

The author's writing style was fast-paced and exciting; alternating between characters when appropriate and sharing the thoughts and feelings of characters effectively.

My personal opinion of the work is that the first few chapters were not as gripping or exciting as expected; the story gradually became more interesting as it neared the ending.
