Evelyn, St Helen and St Katharine

Wed Wabbit

Wed Wabbit is a story about Fidge, a girl who has suddenly turned up in a very strange land with a carrot on wheels, an elephant wearing a pink skirt and her annoying cousin, Graham. They have to solve many confusing clues, struggle to control thousands of Wimbley Woos and defeat a very angry rabbit that can’t pronounce the letter “r”.
Wed Wabbit is an adventure book with a peculiar but exciting storyline. The plot is well-written, very clever and I liked it a lot. I found it really interesting how the author managed to weave Minnie and parts of the real world into the world of Wimbley Woos and how it was shown to the reader in hints rather than saying it straight out. I like this touch – it adds some nice detail.
The characters were very well described because everyone had a different personality and the book would not have worked if the characters were not so different.
The book was really good and I enjoyed reading it. I rate this book a 7/10.
