The Bone Sparrow

Subhi is a refugee boy who lives in a camp with his sister and ill mother. He meets a girl called Jimmie on the other side of the fence who lives a normal life. Their freindship begins when they both read stories together.

It was an interesting book and I liked the different perspectives of both Jimmie and Subhi and especially learning about the refugee crisis/ camps. However I would have preferred that Jimmie's point of view was in first person too.

Four stars.
