The Smell of Other People's Houses
The smell of other peoples houses is an engaging book from the perspective of 4 contrasting teens in Alaska in the 1970s, all very different, yet all interlocking in one way or another. The author deals with problems such as teen pregnancy, running away, abuse, and much more. As the story progresses, the characters and their stories become combined until the last chapter they all meet and all the pieces fit into place, which I think is really effective.
