Miss G, The Carlton Academy

Salt to the Sea

A lyrical, historical, emotional story about the sinking of the ship the Wilhelm Gustloff on 30th January 1945. One not to be missed and a definite contender for the number one spot in my opinion. The different point of view of each of the four characters was heartfelt - you will care about each of them from page 1. Expertly researched and beautifully crafted. A heartfelt, harrowing and brutal story of thousands of refugees making their way to 'safety' during World War II.
