The Stars at Oktober Bend

The Stars at Oktober Bend is a very slow paced book that takes a while to get going but is quite good when it does. It is about Alice, a girl with crazy wirings that meets a boy with a mysterious past called Manny. Throughout the book, they bond together and both develop as individual characters as well as those around them. The beginning is very disorientating but as the story proceeds you can piece the fragments of information you are given together to create the bigger picture. It takes a while to get going but it is entirely worth the wait.
