Salt to the Sea

Salt to the Sea is set in WW2 and each chapter is the story of one of the four main individuals. I became very emotional and thoroughly excited. The characters are interesting and I feel like I have known them my whole life! I get attatched to the characters with good personalities because they have such tough times and live with fear. They bravery is exceptional - so much so that they seem twice their age! Accurate facts are used and relevant, useful information is given. Description of the setting, atmosphere, characters and action are superb, making the book extremely engaging and proving(not that it needed proving) that Ruta Sepetys is a mind-blowing author. The book is definitely among my best of the best favourites. I became very involved with the characters, who followed me in my dreams, greatly inspired me and changed my view on the world. I would eat my hat if I came across someone who didn't enjoy Salt to the Sea. I rate it 10 out of 10 without a doubt! I would say 9 and 3 quarters for the sole purpose of making a reference but that would be lying.
