The Smell of Other People's Houses
Now I would like to start by saying that other people will have different opinions on my review so please don't go thinking "Oh yeah this book must be bad" or "Wow this book must be amazing".
This book is told from different perspectives and is set in Alaska. There is an immediate narrative hook and that is crucial in a book, but after the first 50 pages the book just got really boring and very confusing at certain points like when the perspectives change in the middle of a chapter there is no warning so it just gets confusing however towards the end it started to pick up a bit so if you have made it this far then you will enjoy the book a lot.
This book wasn't what I expected it to be and I was quite disappointed as most of my friends kept saying how good this book was. If I were to rate this book out of 10 I would give it a 6.5/10. A well written book in some places but lacks in a narrative hook in most places however where there is one the book gets amazing.
