The Bone Sparrow
The Bone Sparrow, by Zana Fraillon, is definitely a contender for the spot of my favourite book. The reasons for this is because I just couldn't put it down. During the novel I went on Subhi's emotional roller coaster as he discovered the truths about his family, but also made some incredible friends.Every chapter I learnt something new about Subhi, whether it was how much he loved to draw or how he quite often bent the rules. Subhi was a completely believable character because his reactions to negative and positive situations is how I imagine a normal person to act. I love how the young girl Jimmie is so strong and courageous, throughout the book she isn't frightened of anything. Overall, this book is a great success and I will definitely persuade my friends to read it in the future.
