Salt to the Sea

'Salt to the Sea' was a enjoyable read and was very detailed. I wasn't that surprised by this book since I love wartime stories so in a way this book was perfect for me and anyone else who likes a great wartime book.
The book is written from four Points of view: Joana, Florian, Emilia and Alfred - which was interesting because it wasn't focused on just one character all the time so you don't lose your attention. This, in its own way was quite amazing since you got a feeling for all of the characters and felt like you were actually them in their position.
Howeve,r you have to read this book a lot to get into it and not give up and when you finish you will thank me. Ruta Sepety's idea for this book was amazing and I hope to read lots of novels like this in the future.
The story line is about an overcrowded ship that is their final hope but I don't want to go into too much detail because I do not want to ruin the book for you in case you read it - but it is brilliant!
In conclusion, I would recommend this book to everyone in my class and they will most likely enjoy it as much as I did. I think this book could easily be made into an amazing film. I would give this book four and a half stars out of five.
