Emily, Malbank

The Smell of Other People's Houses

The story was definitely original! How they wrote the stories, to later find that they all mix together was impeccable. It has been more different and versatile than any other book I've read.

The plot was really gripping and I immediately felt intrigued. I wanted to continue reading, however I wasn't able to finish this. As I read on, it got more exciting and I was able to understand it more.

The reality of this was awesome. It felt like it was real and you were there narrating it as it happened. The characters were a whole other story. They were great. Like a play that's really good. They seemed real and I really found the book exquisite. I could stereotype them, but they aren't the typical ones. I didn't have a favourite character since I haven't read it all. But so far I really like Ruth.

The author's writing style was magnificent. It was really tear-conducting. The pace was fine all the way through. It sped up at times yet it went slowly. My interest maintained the whole way through.

I haven't read the ending...

The book could've been improved by going more in-depth with the characters, more into their back stories.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading. It was a great book and would be confused if someone didn't enjoy it.I mark this 7.5/10.
