The Smell of Other People's Houses
The Smell of Other People’s Houses is about the lives of 4 very different teenagers in a small community in Alaska in the 1970’s. Before reading this book, I didn’t know what life was like in a very different part of the world at a very different time. It was interesting to find out. I really liked how the lives of all 4 teenagers intertwined with each other. It all worked out just as you hoped it might. My only criticism would be that the ending was too perfect and life isn’t like that. Whilst it did have a happy ending, I found it too satisfying to be true.
