Charlotte , Sir John's Shadowers
The Bone Sparrow
I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one that I had read because at the start it didn't really draw me in. But I think it had a good messages such as, 'always have hope', 'don't judge a book by its cover' and 'be positive'. Most of this book is emotional and sad, but there is unexpected humour that makes you laugh. The author Zana Fraillon connected with the audience so you felt sympathy for the characters and it was like you were there in the detention centre.
