Billie-Jo, Chapter and Verse (Thomas Cowley High School)
The Smell of Other People's Houses
Overall, I found this a good read. There are a few words in the story that are not perhaps in mainstream use, so this adds to the complexity of what is at times a difficult book to follow. The conclusion of the book merges the four main strands of the story in a neat, unique way, but the change of the character point-of-view at the start of each chapter can be confusing and for a while was in danger of ruining the book for me. A reader needs to keep their wits about them when reading this book as it is vital to be aware of whose perspective the story is being told from.
