Rebel, Duston Carnegie Shadowers
The Bone Sparrow
Subhi- A young boy born in a detention centre who always looks after his friends.
Eli- Subhi's best friend who is older than Subhi but they are inseparable.
Queeny- Subhi's big sister who is sometimes annoying but cares about Subhi.
Maá- Subhi's mum who is too ill to get up.
In the story, Subhi is stuck in a detention centre in Australia. The conditions are terrible but everyone is used to it. Subhi is ok until his best friend gets taken in to the mens camp even though he is too young. Subhi's whole life is turned upside down when he meets a girl from the other side of the fence and Eli is killed.
I would definitely recommend this book because it is full of adventure but at times extremely sad. The only problem with this book is that the ending is a bit boring and doesn't explain all of the parts of the book.
