The Smell of Other People's Houses

I believe that this book was very interesting, eye catching and really made me feel what every character was feeling. The book had something that made you want to read more and know what happens next. I also liked the way the author didn't just tell you the story of one girl and her life which is what most books would do, but what it did do, it tells a variety of stories as you keep reading that's what made it different to most books and what really made me want to keep reading. But the thing that I liked most about this book is when I started reading the book, it felt as if I was reading someone's diary as each character is describing the stories from their point of view.
My only problem was as I kept reading the book, it started getting a bit boring which made me doubt if I picked the right book. And in my point of view I believe that the book may be too sad for my liking I believe that what the characters felt was quite strong and emotional which made me want to really just burst into tears as it made me think ' how can this be happening to them and where do all their strengths come from to keep going? In addition to this, I also do not agree with the cover of the book and I know what people say 'don't judge a book by its cover ' but in this case, I think I have to disagree. In my opinion, when I first saw the book it made expect something else by just reading the title and looking at the book so reading it and realising that it wasn't what you would expect. This was a big shocker for me but it also made me learn to NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER and so next time I will pick wisely. Overall the book wasn't what I expected but it was good but I would not read it again? No! I wouldn't, it’s just not for me.
