The Bone Sparrow
It is about a boy called Subhi who is a refugee and has lived in an immigration detention centre all his life. One day, he meets a girl called Jimmie who lives close to the centre. They become friends and one day Jimmie's mum dies. She can't read her mother's precious books so asks Subhi too. They see many new, exciting stories and hope for freedom one day.
I found this book very sad to read, it shows great friendships and hope.
The book shows to always have hope and to keep trying to live as normal life as possible.
I would rate this book four stars.
