Emma, John Mason School - Abingdon

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

The first thing I will say is: do not be misled, like I was, by the look of the cover!
Sputnik'so Guide to Life on Earth is a very amusing novel, however - far from being the childish type I expected, it is cleverly structured, interesting and overall a really great read. Frank Cotterll-Boyce is an extremely talented writer who understands how to portray his books in a way that intrigues and encourages readers to select his literature; an expertise many writers undoubtedly wish that they had.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel as I would not usually choose this kind of genre and it was a pleasant change. I do also admit that, at first when I read the blurb, I did not believe that I would like the story.

This book would be a recommended book to those who are seeking an amusing and uplifting read, that is not too heavy.

I score this novel 7/10
