Railhead, personally was not a book for me and I thought it had quite a slow start, however there were a few questions that you could ask about what was going on, which in my eyes, is a good thing and is what most authors should be doing.
Near the start of the story the author mentions "He was not running from the law, he was running for the train" and the first thought that came into my head was, "why is he running for a train, what was he doing to run away from the law?" That is what I like about books.
Because I have never read a Philip Reeve book before I thought I'd give it a try. I was not really keen on the book, however I don't think it's fair to single out this one book because it was the first book I have read by him. Out of "10" I would give it "6" marks.
