Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

Sputnik,s guide to life on earth is a book based on a young boy by the name Prez. Prez used to live with his courageous Grandfather, who unfortunately for Prez has a mental health problem and believes he is a ship captain and Prez is his little mechanic as he would always help him. Prez has to constantly remind his Grandfather who he is. However, one day he arrives home to find him gone as he has no parent he gets moved to the Temporary. One day he moves to a new family no matter how much he learns on the farm he still has a hole in him until one little Scottish boy turns up at the door one day by the name of Sputnik Mellows. He gets rocked as he finds out everyone else thinks he's a dog. However, Prez is shocked to find out that he is here to stop earth from being destroyed. He has the struggle of a lifetime to find out he has to think of 10 things worth doing or seeing before the deadline, for Prez this seems harder than he thinks.

I believe this book should not be awarded the prize because of the fact that it should be for younger readers. Because of the simplicity of the story and the young characters. I believe it could do with more dense story line with more drama. Controversy to this I rate this book 3 stars because of its story being easy to read for all readers.
