Salt to the Sea

Salt to the Sea is told during WW2 and is about different people from different backgrounds trying to reach freedom by boarding a ship. The story really tells you how horrific it was to be living during the war and how brutal some people were. This book shows the best of humanity and equally, the worst of humanity, and at times, it can be quite emotional to see what some people went through. I found this story gripping, intense and exciting!
