Salt to the Sea

Salt to the Sea is really well written and very inspirational. The language is occasionally hard to understand but most of the time, with a bit of common sense, you can understand what is going on. In my opinion, there is a bit too much narrative but, for some people, that might be exactly what they like. The descriptive language is also very good; it really paints a mental picture of what things look like, how people feel and how characters act.
Overall, Salt to the Sea is now one of my favourite of the Carnegie books and I would recommended this book to many others.
I would rate this a 7 out of 10.
