The Stars at Oktober Bend
I found this book really enjoyable and easy to get into once I sat down and actually focused on reading. It is quite captivating and quite mesmerising the way that the author has come up with all these ideas and how well the story was written. I liked the way that Joey, her younger brother, acted older than her and more like a father and best friend figure when she really needed a friend. I also liked the poems that Alice wrote and I liked all the different pasts of the characters. Another thing I liked about the story was the way that the mood kept changing and the contrast between some of the different characters.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys curling up with a good book and just blocking the entire world out to join a completely new world that doesn't even exist. I would definitely read this book again and I think that other people should too.
