The Bone Sparrow

I thought The Bone Sparrow was a harrowing, and a thought provoking book which made me think about how lucky I am to live in a house and eat good food everyday. It also makes me sort of ashamed that I sometimes complain about doing something like washing up or doing the laundry when there are some people can't even leave a caged enclosure.

I also think the book is good for telling people that two kids can be close friends even if one lives in a detention centre and the other lives in a house...
