Salt to the Sea

Salt to the sea is an amazing book. I really liked it and would read it all over again many times.
The only annoying thing about this book was that although indication was given of when the characters telling the story change, it had to flit from one character to another at the start of the book when you do not know their personalities well.
The story in Salt to the sea is both interesting and engaging, drawing you in to read more and more. Four different characters take turns to lead you through their side of events, Joanna, Florian, Alfred and Emilia.
Most act as the 'goodies' though the charcter of Alfred could be the 'baddie'.
Ruta Sepetys tells a complex plot perfectly with enough mystery and intriguing occurrences to push you on, not putting the book down until right at the end.
I would recommend this book to girls and boys over the age of 12 and mainly to girls. This book would appeal to mystery lovers and drama finders as this book is full to the brim with them!
I hope you enjoy reading this book as mush as I did...
