Salt to the Sea
Salt To The Sea is very upsetting, it tells a hidden story of what many people experienced in World War Two. The story is very vivid and is told through four different perspectives, one of them is Joana, and she is a young Lithuanian nurse fleeing home to escape being caught by the Russians. She is allowed in Germany because she from a country in Hitler's "perfect race". In addition, there is Florian, who steals something very important from the Amber Room and is in hiding. Emilia, a young Polish girl, has been raped and left for dead by a Russian soldier but is saved by Florian. Alfred is a young Nazi, who is very eager to help serve Hitler. Salt To The Sea is very emotional and it pulled at my heart-strings.
