Edwin, St Bede's Inter-Church School
The Smell of Other People's Houses
This book was complicated at the start and didn't get much better through the first half. The characters were believable but some of the events were hard to understand actually happening. The story is a bit split up and hard to put together to make a large plot. I found the setting good and interesting, especially the people who weren't main character s but still brought the book alive. Some how you are sympathetic to all the characters perspectives you get to see despite many characters that hate one another. The story does come together at the end and the last few chapters did make the story come together in one of the most unrealistic happy endings ever.
I give it a13/20
