Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth is an astounding book set in a care home.Containing a forgetful grandfather, a boy who has lost his ability to speak, Prez and a violent, talking dog Sputnik(meaning companion), this book is excellent for people with wild imaginations.

Read along as Prez and Sputnik are willing to save the earth during the course of summer by listing 10 good things about earth. This may sound easy but Sputnik's idea of good things is much different to Prez's not only that; Prez is trying to make his forgetful grandfather remember he is not sailing the seven seas so Prez can finally move back to his grandfather's house. Also, I like how Sputnik says people can't do things like floating in the air, controlling people with a remote control as they don't read the manuals properly.

I loved the action and Sputnik's violence was very amusing but I didn't like it how Prez saw Sputnik as a boy and every one else saw him as a dog.

If you love this book as much as I do, than read The Astounding Broccoli Boy another astounding book by the pen of Frank Cottrell Boyce.
