Ellen Faysse, BMS (Books, Munchies and Squash)
The Bone Sparrow
After a slow start, I ended up enjoying this book but I strongly feel that the second half of the book is much better than the first. For me I felt that the first half of the novel is slightly lacking in action and found it rather slow. However, as the plot progressed my view on the book changed; I believe that the plot became much more developed and it became much easier to understand and relate with the characters. I also enjoyed the aspect of the setting in a refugee camp, I felt that it was vividly described and the difference between it and the outside world is stark.
