The Stars at Oktober Bend

This told the story of a fifteen year old girl, living in a situation that none of us can begin to imagine. I did find Alice's voice slightly odd to begin with but I suppose that was the intention. I enjoyed the joint narration between Alice and Manny, I felt that it gave an essential second viewpoint on the action of the plot. I believe that this book had just the right balance between action and emotionally engaging with the characters.
