The Smell of Other People's Houses

The thing that caught my eye with the book The Smell of Other People's Houses is the refreshing title as it intrigued me and is something relatable to me. Throughout the book I found it could be slow or confusing and there was a whole world of fishing that didn't interest me. It is written in depth and detail which I did enjoy about the book. I found that there was a lot of metaphors that could get tiresome of trying to figure out,and it wasn't an easy read, but I loved the way the characters intertwined. It frustrated me at the beginning how there were four characters leading completely different story's,unlike the salt to the sea which had lots of characters but all in the same story, where this they slowly merged into the same story. I preferred characters to others,so it was boring when I just wanted to read about one character and not the other one but Overall I did enjoy this book but it wasn't a light read.
