The Bone Sparrow
This touching book has haunting images of what we don't know is really going on in the world. Its tragic tale of friendship and courage are inspiring and it is overall a moving book, with parts of the story that could make anyone cry it is no wonder it has been shortlisted. Although this is not usually my first choice of genre, I found it fantastic and exciting, and it makes me want to read more of this type book. Its captivating story line and upsetting end make it all round a tragic but inspiring book. It makes you stop and think of what can really be happening in such detention centres. A really good read that I would definitely recommend to others.
