Railhead

This book is not my favourite genre, but I loved the inventiveness of Philip Reeve in imagining and then describing the world inhabited by Zen Starling. I was glad of the glossary at the back (which I only discovered halfway through) to explain the intricacies of the railway network and social structure.
The story is exciting, with lots of action and mystery about who are the goodies and who are the baddies. I will be reading number 2 in the series.
