Mrs Midgley, LGS Shadowers

Wolf Hollow

Wolf Hollow is my favourite book of the Carnegie shortlist so far.
The story is about everyday ordinary people doing ordinary things. I was struck by the way that Annabelle and her family were affected by Betty's bullying and subsequently by her disappearance, and that those events dominated their lives for a short while, and probably impacted their lives forever.
An excellent story, with a realistic ending!
