Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

Sputnik's guide to life on earth is an interesting book. It is based on a boy (Prez) that is living with his granddad. Suddenly he finds himself without a home and has to join a "Temporary home for kids". The book has some realistic things such as love and loss;but the realism ends there. The book is meant to be funny, but I wasn't amused. The book is very childish and downright silly. I would have liked it if I was younger. Someone must have put Sputnik into the Carnegie shortlist as a joke. The author's ideas are good, but all in all I admire the creativity but I disliked the book. I would give this book a 5/10.
