Mrs New, Pilton Shadowers
Beyond the Bright Sea
I absolutely adored Wolf Hollow last year, and Beyond the Bright Sea definitely lives up to its predecessor. What a beautifully written book.
The story follows Crow who is determined to know where she comes from, even if it means being outcast and prejudice against for the rest of her life. See, Penikese is an island that people who suffered with Leprosy were once sent because people were so fearful of being around them. But that doesn't matter to Crow - she just wants to know her history.
We follow Crow's adventure to find her identity and to learn the true meaning of family - and what an tremendous journey it is.
I'm so excited to talk to my group about this book... especially the ending.
